People told us that to successfully support individuals with complex needs we should be using a shared language. In order to work towards this the Community of Practice co-produced an 'Acronym Dictionary', otherwise known as a Jargon Buster. You can find this below:
Providers and family carers told us that there was no clear guidance on how they should be recording behavioural incidents. Some people thought that this lack of clarity meant that recording was either too resource intensive, or not sufficient enough.
To counteract this, a subgroup of the Community of Practice, in liaison with Positive Response Training, created minimum standards for recording behaviours. These can be found below:
